Excited to start my 7-month course in AI with MIT (Online and offline at Boston later). Over the last year or so, I have been working hands-on with AI start ups (beyond advising them on areas I know well). Adding this technical knowledge, I believe will position me to appreciate what they do much better and add greater value. All through my career, I have picked up courses and pursued them outside of learning on the job and soft skills, if they help me do my job better. Back in the days at AXA, I certified as an ISO Quality Internal Auditor, then Green belt, corporate finance and Prince 2 as it helped me do my job better at various times. Later I did my Associate in Insurance from III, Fellowship in Insurance from MII and the FIDE Corporate Governance programme that was mandatory for Board members... For those who tell me, we cant find the time. I always tell them - Time is always available! Its up to us to find space for our own development. Many a times, it starts with simple conversations with people around you who know a particular area well or listening to a podcast! And the best part, this course is fully sponsored by my better half :) Krithika Chandrashekar
