Santo Domingo Tribal Programs’ Post

Congratulations to our incredible interns! The Santo Domingo Pueblo, Employment & Training Office is proud to announce the successful completion of our 8-week Summer Enrichment Internship Program. We celebrated the hard work of 60 interns who dedicated their summer to gaining valuable experience. The program was designed to prepare our youth for the future, with a curriculum focused on: • Employability skills training • Career exploration activities • Financial literacy education This wouldn't have been possible without the amazing support of our worksite partners who provided hands-on experience and mentorship, as well as crucial funding from the New Mexico Public Education Department and the Department of Labor, Division of Indian and Native American Program, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) grant. A huge thank you to: Santo Domingo Pueblo Tribal Programs Kewa Pueblo Health Corporation Santo Domingo Tribal Housing Authority bernalillocommunitymuseum Pueblo Creations Kokopelli A special shoutout goes to our interns who successfully hosted a Summer Carnival, bringing games and fun to our community. This event, a beloved tradition, highlights the importance of giving back and fostering pride in the Santo Domingo Pueblo community. We wrapped up the program with a fun-filled End of Internship Celebration, complete with bowling and Dion's pizza, generously sponsored by the Kewa Pueblo Health Corporation Board. We're already back to the drawing board, planning for an even better program next summer! Want updates for the 2026 Summer Enrichment Internship Program?
