🔴🔵Automating Data Imports in Salesforce Marketing Cloud with WSProxy One of the most common challenges in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) is moving data from FTP into Data Extensions reliably. Traditionally, you either: 👉 Configure imports manually in Automation Studio (time-consuming), or 👉 Work with the SOAP API (verbose and slow). 🔧 Enter WSProxy: a lightweight, server-side JavaScript wrapper for the SOAP API that makes these operations faster, cleaner, and easier to automate. I recently worked on a script that: ✅ Creates an Import Definition programmatically ✅ Maps file columns to Data Extension fields ✅ Runs the import automatically This means no more repetitive manual setup — and a scalable way to handle recurring data feeds like nightly CRM exports or daily subscriber updates. Here’s a simple visualization of the process: 📂 FTP → ⚙️ Import Definition → 📊 Data Extension 💡 Why it matters: 🔍 Fully automatable through Automation Studio 🔍 Reduces manual errors and setup time If your team handles recurring data feeds in SFMC, this approach can save hours every week and create more reliable pipelines. This is a clever way to streamline those recurring imports! WSProxy really shines when handling repetitive tasks like these.

2moI would not recommend doing import with proxy because of sfmc limitations which is half an hour. We use third party middleware that are meant to do this job. Hence, this is not enterprise solution when you have millions of data
