"𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 100-𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢 100-𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘬" At #GFF2025, in a packed ballroom, I joined the panel 𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘴: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩 𝘐𝘯𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 to explore what it truly takes to move beyond point solutions and build ecosystems where credit, compliance, payments, and customer engagement work together seamlessly. Grateful for this candid conversation with my co-panelists Khalifa Naddari, Vishal Dalal, and Raja Debnath. Here are a few lessons that stood out and are practical insights for anyone tackling transformation: 1. 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 At ABCD, for example, aligning strategy, business ROI, and teams across different companies and regulatory purview was critical enabler of success for us. 2. 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 A large scale project needs a strong sponsor - conviction is key. Every stakeholder shares responsibility, but business teams must own the ROI, whether qualitative or quantitative. Momentum grows through short implementation cycles, delivering quick wins, celebrating success, and gradually bringing more people into the journey. When milestones are consistently met, conviction is strengthened and progress is catalysed. 3. 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞 The real value of new tech often emerges over time. When elevators came we continued to make 4-5 story buildings as folks didn’t immediately bring taller projects into life. As technology and imagination created new business possibilities - today 100+ stories buildings are possible. So, staying agile, investing in imagination and creativity, and balancing regulation, CX, and business outcomes are key to build a market winner. #ABCDatGFF2025 #GFF #GlobalFintechFest

1wInsightful reflections - especially on anchoring transformation in people, conviction, and imagination rather than technology alone. Building enduring institutions, not just efficient systems, truly distinguishes visionary leadership.
