"One of the secrets to SAP’s success is understanding that in technology, there is never a good time to rest on your laurels. We remind ourselves every day that tech is the most competitive industry on earth. With every new wave of innovation the tech space is redefined, new companies pop up and you have to prove yourself again. I am very happy with that." 💬 Thank you to Andrew Saunders from Fortune for the great conversation. Always a pleasure to speak about SAP's cloud transformation and our journey to become #1 in #BusinessAI 🙌 👉 https://lnkd.in/ebvw_8_T

Well said, Sebastian Steinhaeuser – staying sharp in the most competitive industry takes more than tech – it takes trust. 🔁🧠 United VARs CLG members help SAP customers turn transformation into tangible value, every single day. #StrongerThanOne #LocalExpertiseGlobalReach

Absolutely true. In tech, yesterday’s success quickly becomes today’s baseline. The companies that thrive are those that embrace reinvention, stay customer-focused, and anticipate the next wave rather than react to it. At CareerNexus, we carry the same belief never resting, always building.
The shift at SAP began when Americans (salespeople) took the helm. What was once about engineering rigour and long-term partnerships is now about pushing costly cloud models, a false ‘win-win’, and low-quality Indian development — risking SAP’s reputation as a trusted strategic partner

1moHow we define “tech” matters here. SAP is an elephant that can dance, and dance well - hat tip to Lou Gerstner. But as an enterprise software maker, it is less of a pure engineering-driven tech company today. Much of the innovation shaping tech now starts in the consumer space and then flows into enterprise, and Europe has not produced many of those consumer-led giants. SAP has been able to protect its core, innovate, and scale globally. Yet it remains the only European software company that has reached this level of global impact. The open question is whether Europe can create the next wave of consumer-driven platforms that also scale into enterprise.
