🚀 MCP Servers: The Connector Layer We Need, But Not Yet Enterprise Ready! Just wrapped up an amazing experience at apidays London 2025, “No AI without APIs”. Some standout sessions I attended: - “Agentic AI: From Roadmap to ROI” by Nigel Walters (Google Cloud) - “From APIs to AI: Leveraging Integration Assets for MCP Enablement” by Kalpshekhar Gupta (IBM) 💡 My take: MCP servers are here to stay. They act as a universal connector layer for AI Agents and can evolve into a powerful management layer in the future. But right now, key gaps remain: 🔒 Security controls are still evolving, no standard approach across implementations 📉 Monitoring & observability require custom setups, no mature built-in framework yet These are critical if MCP is to reach enterprise grade adoption. Had a great conversation with some speakers on this, and it was reassuring to see similar perspectives. #apidays #API #AI #AgenticAI #DigitalTransformation #TechEvents
