We are a member of the OGCI (Oil and Gas Climate Initiative), a group of 12 major energy companies focused on leading the industry’s response to climate change. OGCI’s Progress Report 2025 features our leadership in methane emissions reduction, the Northern Lights JV CCS joint venture and our bioLNG plant in Germany as examples of how we are contributing to industry-wide action on climate. Shell I can suggest another initiative for you to lead - restoring YOUR pensioners pension! During the cost of living crisis the company broke with decades of precedent and refused to award inflation-matching pay rises to its pensioners. Some of us are up to 10.6% down on our income. YOU can revert to the people focused company that you once were by restoring the shortfall

Shell is usually a successful leader however not where their pensioners are concerned ! Shell have eroded their pensioners income by up to 10.6% year on year for life ! All during a time of very high inflation and record profits ! Not aligned with your code of conduct or your actions for the past 4 decades !! Time for those responsible to make good and correct this shortfall ! Wael Sawan … invisible yet again ! Andrew Mackenzie Sinead Gorman

I agree with the initiative to look after / support Shell pensioners discretionary increase, particularly as we’ve paid into our pension pot and in light of inflationary increases.

I know as a pro active company you are always looking at the future to improve and deliver. So it's great to see a progress report looking back on what was set out and how you are performing against it. It's a shame you don't look back at ex employees now pensioners to see you have underperformed dropping ex employees income by Upto 10.6%. Clearly it's an area you don't want to highlight or shout about. Shell still has the ability to rectify if it wishes without impacting it's bottom line.

Shell progress report on putting right the up to 10.6% real terms income cuts inflicted on pensioners.  Fail - see the headmaster.

It’s a real shame the Shell leadership are NOT proactive nor lead in restoring parity to Shell UK pensioners. Those Shell pensioners living alone and others have no idea there pensions have been eroded, some by up to +10%. This is a sad indictment on those so called leaders who made that decision, but continue to hide and offer no explanation, just obfuscation. C’mon Sinead Gorman, and those hiding in plain sight Andrew Mackenzie & Wael Sawan, do the right thing 🙏

Impressive progress from OGCI, it’s great to see tangible data on emission reductions. Encouraging for engineers working at the forefront of cleaner energy innovation.
