Two days, countless ideas, and a spark that changed how I see the tech world — that was #TOSSConf25 for me! As a curious student, I attended the Tamil Open Source Software Conference — and it turned out to be a game-changing experience. For the first time, I got a real sense of how powerful and meaningful Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) is. It opened my eyes to how Linux offers a more open, community-focused, and transparent ecosystem — something I never truly realized while using proprietary systems like Windows. Some of the topics I explored and got introduced to: 🔹 Linux, Assembly Language, and FOSS philosophy 🔹 Open Source AI, MongoDB, TCP/IP, DNS, Networking 🔹 I also came to know about tools and ideas like Web Scraping, Fuzzy Logic, Nix Shells, and Ethical Tech — which I'm excited to explore more in the future! The sessions were insightful, the people were passionate, and the energy was incredibly motivating. I’m grateful to have listened to inspiring speakers and to have connected with many fellow learners from across the state. 🙏 Huge appreciation to the organizers and volunteers for making this event so accessible and impactful for students like me.
