Delegation isn’t about letting go. It’s about leveling up. Great leaders know that doing it all isn’t a strength; it’s a ceiling. When done right, delegation builds trust, accelerates growth, and clears space for leaders to focus on what matters most: strategy, vision, and people. As Tamla Oates-Forney, CEO of SHRM Linkage, explains, “Delegating effectively is a thoughtful and deliberate process that drives real impact.” It’s about understanding your team’s skills, setting clear expectations, and creating opportunities for others to succeed, not just complete tasks. The article breaks down proven frameworks like the Eisenhower Matrix and the “5 W’s of Delegation,” showing how small shifts in clarity, communication, and trust can multiply performance across teams. Because the best leaders don’t measure success by what they control, but by what they empower others to achieve. I recently read SHRM’s piece on how the CHRO’s role continues to evolve — and I couldn’t agree more. HR should report directly to the CEO. When HR reports through finance, the message becomes about cost. But when it reports to the CEO, it’s about partnership — aligning people, culture, and purpose with business goals. Talent drives performance. Elevating HR’s voice ensures organizations lead with both values and results. It’s encouraging to see more conversations recognizing the strategic influence of HR at the leadership level — a direction I strongly believe in and continue to advocate for. #HRLeadership #CHRO #PeopleStrategy #Leadership #HumanResources #ExecutiveLeadership #FutureOfWork #TalentStrategy #CultureMatters

Leaders: Are you getting the same level of development you provide everyone else? Executive coaching isn’t a box to check, it’s a lever for strategic advantage when used intentionally. Here are six ways you can unlock real value from coaching, and the common barriers that quietly sabotage even the best programs. The goal isn’t to promote coaching as a cure-all. It’s to help senior leaders reframe their own growth as a strategic asset, one that deserves the same investment, structure, and foresight they dedicate to developing others. Because when you grow, the entire organization gains altitude. #LeadershipDevelopment #ExecutiveCoaching #CHRO #SHRM #StrategicLeadership #Mach278 https://lnkd.in/eNSHmkAW

Behind-the-Scenes Insight People often think administration is just paperwork. But here’s the truth I’ve learned: effective admin and operations work is really about making the whole machine run smoothly. Behind every “small” task is a ripple effect: ✅️ A well-drafted report saves hours of confusion later. ✅️ A streamlined process prevents daily bottlenecks. ✅️ A properly documented meeting keeps projects moving. It’s the quiet work that doesn’t always get spotlighted — but without it, things can easily fall apart. 💡Lesson: Operations isn’t about ticking boxes. It’s about creating stability that allows everyone else to perform at their best. #OperationsManagement #Administration #Leadership #Efficiency #Teamwork

After supporting the largest associations over the last 20 years, here’s the biggest missed opportunities I see from leaders when they plan their strategy: They only listen to their happiest members. That sounds logical. After all, those are the people who engage the most, but it also means you’re hearing from the people least likely to leave. The real insight comes from the perspectives you don’t usually ask: Non-members: ↳ Why didn’t they join? Low-engagement members: ↳ Why aren’t they participating? Other organizations: ↳ How have they solved the same problems you’re facing? Here’s why this matters: - Loyal members validate what you already do well. - Non-members and low-engagement members reveal what you’re missing. - Best practices from outside your own walls give your board confidence that change will work. Note that confidence is often the deciding factor between staying stuck in the status quo and moving forward with real transformation. Take a look at the difference: Without it → boards hesitate, strategies stall, and the status quo wins. With it → leaders are willing to take the leap and drive real transformation. This mix of voices steers your strategy away from risk and makes bold change possible. My question is: whose perspective have you left out of the conversation?

Every time you say “I’ll just do it myself,” you pay in focus. Every admin task you cling to is compounding against you. The hidden cost isn’t in the task itself—it’s in the hours of clarity you lose. The smartest leaders delegate the $20 tasks so they can focus on the $500 decisions. #ProductivityHacks #DelegationIsPower #FounderSupport

Wonderful! Delegation done well depends on clarity, communication, and trust, the same elements that drive collaboration and resolve conflict. Great reminder that leadership growth starts with how we engage others, not just what we assign.
