A Note on Passion: It's important to not to let your job title distract you from pursuing what truly brings you joy. Building Talent and Sharing Knowledge have been passion projects for me for quite a while now, and both have lead to opportunities that perhaps surpass what any delivery roles may have offered. The last couple of months have demonstrated the impact of these pursuits: 1. I had the opportunity to build talent for a client in Dubai by driving their first one hundred hires in their shared captive center in Pakistan as part of a Talent Transformation Project. Impact: 100 people employed = 100 lives changed. 2. I orchestrated and executed our signature IBM learning event with the goal of investing in our workforce ensuring IBMers' are at the forefront of the future of Agentic AI and the Human Intelligence needed in resolving client conflicts. Impact: 60 practitioners driving customer growth and enhancing our clients’ experiences. 3. I was honoured to meet with the Pakistani IT Minister Shaza Khawaja to explore collaborative efforts for scaling skill-building at a national level in key technology areas. Impact: Building a future-ready nation. These achievements were made possible by the support of those that trusted me in pursuing my passions and a team that executes with precision. (Interestingly, each collaboration included a strong woman leading the helm) To those on a journey searching for where the next career move may take you, pause and reflect - perhaps the change you need isn't a new job/company/team, but a change in mindset - remembering the things that bring you joy stay with you wherever you are, and its impact is measured by the number of lives you get to change. To the village that makes these opportunities happen (because nothing is a one-man show) - thank you.
