Are you going to work just for lunch? I did that a few weeks ago to visit my Hitachi Energy colleagues in Sevilla, Spain. I am on unpaid leave at the moment and have biked 9000kms through Europe to get to Sevilla. Along the way I visited colleagues in Poland, Sweden and Belgium. Thanks to Pablo Arevalo Aguilar for showing me and Jane Piper around and then going for lunch! After 5 months of biking, I am starting to look forward to going back to work and new challenges. The excitement of traveling everyday - planning the route, finding accommodation and food, and then biking for 8 hours. It is like a job!
Great to meet so many of Simon's Hitachi colleagues along the way!
My little ones send their regards! Were talking about your journey just yesterday. They’re very impressed :-)
They say a sabbatical either helps you recommit or decide to exit the building. Clocking up 9000kms and still showing up for lunch with colleagues suggests you’ve found the best of both worlds Simon!
Great going Simon , this is simply amazing !
I look forward to invite you a lunch in Baden,Simon Round and Jane Piper to lean about amazing moments of the trip . In actual fact we all should do such a trip of „ disconnect from the corporate world „ as part of our journey and not wait till we reach retirement, which might never happen ! You made a great decision for yourself ! Compliments
9000km is amazing Simon and Jane. Keep it going and safe travels.
