My friends and colleagues will describe me (hopefully) as a humble person, but with it being Socium's 6-year anniversary today, I am choosing to take a pass and brag a little bit. 8 years ago, I was a 27-year-old digital marketer working at one of the top-rated agencies in NYC. I was making good money, doing great work for clients, and making a lot of new friends, but I still felt like I was missing something. After many sessions with my psychotherapist and encouragement from my girlfriend (now wife), I went out on my own. After 2 years of running a successful consultancy, Owen (who was also consulting at the time) and I got together to form Socium Media on April 1, 2019. Since starting Socium, In those 6 years, we've received the following accolades: - 3x Inc Magazine Top Workplace in the US - 2x Inc 5000 winner - 2x Adweek's Fastest Growing US Agencies Winner, hitting number 5 of 50 in 2022. - 2x finalist for a Google Premier Partner award - 8+ campaign awards by the US Search Awards, Search Engine Land, The Drum Awards, and Digiday I couldn't be more proud of how our team has bought into my pipedream idea of building one of the top agencies in the US.
