Dublin Airport operator daa has contracted Ramboll to provide client-side NEC4 project and commercial management services for the West Apron Vehicle Underpass. The project will deliver a critical new underground link between Dublin Airport’s Pier 3 and its West Apron, eliminating the need for vehicles to cross the crosswind runway 16/34. Chile: The Ministry of Public Works has advanced the expansion of Viña del Mar Aerodrome, known as Concón Airport, by awarding the study for construction works. Minister Jessica López confirmed that the technical definition phase has been completed and the project is now in the bidding stage. The plan, led by the Airports Authority, aims to enable regular domestic services and possible future routes to Argentina. Projections suggest the airport could handle about 500,000 passengers a year by the mid-2030s, with nearly 900,000 expected by 2045. Alongside the bidding process, maintenance work on the runway and an Environmental Impact Study are under way. Authorities state that the airport is legally established in the Torquemada sector, so no changes to the Regional Regulatory Plan are required. An Coimisiún Pleanála has granted permission for Dublin's MetroLink. After three years of consultations TII's Railway order has finally navigated the process. Metro will provide a direct link with Dublin airport, DART, heavy rail, Luas and bus services.  Cost submittals range from 7 - 23 Billion Euro. The venture is expected to create over 4,000 jobs and be operational by mid 2030's This advancement is sure to increase the interest of International Consortiums & ramp up proceedings. Remarkably this news arrives a full 25 years after the Metro was first proposed!
