In a move set to shake up India’s digital payments market, state-owned telecom giant BSNL India is preparing to roll out its own UPI-based payment service, BSNL Pay, by Diwali 2025. Unlike a standalone app, BSNL Pay will be integrated directly into the BSNL Selfcare app, making it easily accessible for the company’s existing users. The service will run on NPCI’s BHIM infrastructure, enabling secure and seamless online transactions. This development could pose fresh competition to established players like PhonePe, Google Pay, and Paytm, while also offering BSNL subscribers a built-in, government-backed alternative for digital payments. Though the official launch date has not been confirmed, early sightings of promotional banners indicate the rollout is in motion. #bsnl #launches #UPI #bsnlPay #startupUpdates #startupro

1moThe technical foundation seems solid and trusted, but BSNL’s long-term user trust and competitive agility will decide if consumers genuinely switch from PhonePe, Google Pay, and Paytm.
