For Andy Esquivel, both Hispanic Heritage Month and Life Insurance Awareness Month hold deep meaning. "Raised in a family of migrant farm workers, often living without indoor plumbing, I learned early the power of community and resilience. My parents, who never graduated high school, instilled in me the importance of education.” After college, Andy joined the State Farm accounting department before discovering the independent contractor agent opportunity. "The Hispanic communities of my childhood were always tightly knit, where neighbors helped neighbors in times of joy and hardship. Now as a State Farm agent, my community is broader, but those values remain." Andy reflects on a personal tragedy—the loss of his son to a drunk driver—which strengthened his commitment. "With the support of the community and our local Rotary Club, we established a memorial scholarship to honor my son, while recognizing the hard work and service of others. This scholarship will continue to promote the spirit of community care long into the future." "I’m so proud to serve as a State Farm agent and lead a team ready to help anyone who crosses our path."
