𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 European Blockchain Convention 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗮 At Daniel Salmerón's invitation (Thank you!), I attended European Blockchain Convention in Barcelona along Gabriel Cioflica, Mike Costache and Georgian Ioniță. Personally, I’ve been present in the Crypto Assets and Blockchain markets as a watcher and investor since 2017. I’ve been through a few market cycles, and I’ve learned a lot about investments and technology. There were quite a few times in which I saw future mainstream technology being present in the crypto & blockchain first. I took this opportunity to update my knowledge see what’s been happening in this space now. The shift is more towards the institutions now. 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀: - 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀. Not just to use them, but to issue them as well (❗I see this as quite a risk if the reserves are not managed properly). - 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 and how the the GENIUS Act and MiCa affect the industry. - 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝘆𝗽𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲, but a lot of their customers are just started to get educated on this asset class. - 𝗕𝗧𝗖 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗘𝗧𝗛. While SOL and SUI come up in some discussions, BTC and ETH hold the main share of interest. - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 and has a lot to go. While it’s interesting to see the leaders of different institutions and see their direction at such events, personally I also value the opinion and experience of those who are more hands-on building and researching these products.
