Dragon's Den history has been made!!! 😳😳😳 A business pitched in the den by 25-year-old's is now worth $200m - here's the truth 👇🏾 Two years again Marisa Poster and Teddie Levenfiche walked into the Den at 25 years old, looked me in the eyes and told me they were planning Matcha "world domination"... People talk a big game in the den, but they were too smart, too convinced and too persuasive not to believe. 🐉 All 5 dragon's made an offer. Thankfully they accepted mine 🙏🏾 After the den I became so convinced that they will build a billion dollar brand, own the matcha category and disrupt the coffee category - that I invested a further £1m! 📈 What happened next confirmed ALL of my suspicious... They moved into my office in London and if I'm in the office on the weekend, they are there. When I'm in the office late at night, they are there. They have given everything, skipped honeymoons, holidays and sacrificed in a way most people would be unwilling to sacrifice. 💥 They went to war with each other to find the right answer - often refusing to leave the office until 2am - until they had debated their way to the correct strategic decision on products, marketing, global expansion and more - and because of this, remarkably, they've been right enough to build the entire matcha category. 💥 They are remarkably good with people - they won me over in the den, they've persuaded the biggest retailers in the world to take a chance on matcha, persuaded talented people to join their team, and through marketing persuaded the world to try their matcha! Because of this, and so much more... 💸 From $10k per month pre-den, to flying past $60m annual recurring revenue! 💸 The business has just been valued a $200m in a fundraise to fuel global expansion (I believe they'll be Dragons' Den first Unicorn 🦄)! And it all started because then 24 year old Marisa Poster was looking for a better energy product for her own ADHD and Anxiety ❤️ 🇬🇧 There is so much doom and gloom about the UK at the moment...
