A couple of weeks ago, I wrapped up a mountain bike trip and shared that I was taking some time to think about what’s next. Well, here’s the answer: I’ve joined Collate as Chief Marketing Officer! 🎉 Throughout my career, I’ve seen the power of open source to completely reshape industries. From partnering with Hortonworks and Cloudera during my time at Teradata/Aster, to my experience at MapR, I’ve witnessed firsthand how communities drive innovation and create platforms that last. That same spirit is at the core of Collate. Why did I join? Collate’s vision for metadata: a unified platform, AI-driven automation, and a thriving open-source community around OpenMetadata. Together, they’re changing how organizations discover, trust, and govern data. Metadata is the foundation for smarter, context-rich decision-making and automation in the age of AI, and I’m excited to be part of building that future. I’m especially energized about the chance to partner with founders Suresh Srinivas and Sriharsha Chintalapani, whose passion for open source and track record of building lasting impact at Uber, Hortonworks, and Yahoo! is truly inspiring.
