📢 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗙𝗢 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗜𝗕’𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 Today we had the pleasure of welcoming the European Investment Bank (EIB) in our 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗙𝗢 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 to mark the launch of the €𝟮𝟱𝟬𝗺 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲. As this was our first 𝘩𝘺𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘥 edition of the CFO series, we were delighted to welcome a diverse group of CFOs, investors, and partners who joined the discussion in person here in #Berlin. Special thanks to Ann Mettler for opening the seminar and shedding light on how Breakthrough Energy , Cleantech for Europe and Tech for Net Zero collaborated with the EIB - thank you for kicking us off with your remarks on the importance of EIB’s Guarantee Program. A huge thank you to Irene Gálvez , Head of Cleantech Growth Capital at the EIB, and Ruben Devogelaer , Principal Advisor in the Cleantech Growth Capital Division, for leading our 𝗖𝗙𝗢 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 and presenting first-hand insights into how the scheme will support Europe’s climate tech scale-ups. Key topics we explored in the session:  🚧 The scale-up financing bottlenecks holding back many cleantech ventures from reaching large-scale commercialisation - and how to bridge them. 💰 The EIB’s new EUR 250 million CleanTechEU guarantee scheme as a concrete contribution to the EU Clean Industrial Deal. 🤝 How CleanTechEU mobilises working-capital financing, in partnership with commercial banks, to back innovative hardware companies across the EU and sectors.  The guarantee scheme helps convert more bankable deals for climate tech by reducing risk and widening access to debt - exactly the leverage our CFO community needs.
