Our Director of Engineering and Customer Solutions Transformation, Matthew Magill, recently discussed the revised Connections Reform timeline for reordering the connections queue with Adam John at Utility Week. This plan will fast-track shovel-ready clean energy projects, prioritising projects that are needed to achieve the Government’s 2030 Clean Power target. Matt confirmed that we will begin notifying customers about their applications by the first week of December and we aim to have made all offers for projects needed to meet the 2030 Clean Power target by the end of Q2 next year. Connections Reform is not just about achieving clean power, it is also about providing certainty to investors to unlock an estimated annual £40 billion investment opportunity, to kick start economic growth, creating thousands of high-skilled jobs across Great Britain.
