Trust Leeds continues to benefit from the wisdom and perspectives of aspiring entrepreneurs at Leeds University Business School: they are so grateful to us when we share our expertise and experiences with them, yet we also learn from them.

The future of the world is safe! I know this because I met so many thoughtful, smart, kind, interesting and interested students when I volunteered twice last week at the Leeds University Business School as a Leader in Residence. Their global, humanitarian and responsibility-taking perspectives were deeply impressive. We can rely on them (but mustn't mess it up for them before they take on leadership, and must consult and collaborate with them now)! The marketing students from Rome and University of Leeds presented their two inspirational international social innovation concepts at the Social Venture Bootcamp on Tuesday evening, and it was a pleasure to be asked to speak about my social entrepreneurship journey alongside Dawn O'Keefe and Becky Dam. And then supporting MSc Management Studies students through a mock assessment centre exercise and mock interviews on Friday was satisfyingly hard work - we could see the progress they made in 4 hours as they soaked up the experience, feedback and suggestions. Thank you, students, for sharing your ambitions and insights, I will definitely bring some of these to bear on my work at the social venture I run, Trust Leeds.
