On International Day of the Girl Child, we’re celebrating the transformative power of sport to enhance education outcomes for young girls. Since 2007, the British Council and the Premier League have worked together to create positive change in schools and communities around the world. In India, the partnership has supported more than 7,500 educators and coaches across 18 states. Anne Aiza Khan, who was herself mentored through this partnership, founded Fairy Fari Foundation to empower children, especially girls, from less privileged backgrounds through football, education, and life skills. Here’s her story. #DayOfTheGirl | Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office | British Council
