This is a bit of a 'sabka saath sabka vikas' story :). Our genset controls business has been: Good for customers: We are today dominant in India, globally relevant, engaged on crucial products/interventions with several of the worlds biggies. This cannot happen without customer satisfaction. Check out comments from some of them in the blog link. Good for employees: Talented engineers in India have had & continue to have the opportunity to build and deploy innovative technologies and products now used globally. Good for vendors: We have gone from zero to currently addressing >10% of generators manufactured globally in 15 yrs. Vendors like such customers since their business grows. Good for shareholders: They have/are seeing the benefits of owning a growing, profitable, capital efficient business. Our genset controls business being an important part. Good for India: Aside from taxes the Indian govt earns/will earn, our genset controls business is headed, strongly, in the direction of a net foreign exchange earner for India. This is despite pretty much all semi-conductor components we use being imported (semi-conductor devices arent made in India). Reason is exports occupy more than 40% of our controller volume for the generator market. If matters go well, this is likely to grow to > 70% in the years to come. And a global leader will reside in India. We wish for such a story to develop in all our businesses where all stakeholders are glad SEDEMAC is around. We may not always be successful but our endeavour would definitely be to do our best to take all stakeholders along. Our experience shows that happens if you have the ability to build fresh stuff that moves the industry forward.
