Last Saturday, I was blessed to be at Twickenham for the Women’s Rugby World Cup Final. My first country (France) lost, My second one (England) won, but most of all, the game itself won. It was absolutely amazing! I loved being one of 81,885 spectators, one of the largest crowds ever for a rugby game. What happened on the pitch mirrors three themes I wish to place at the heart of my emerging coaching practice: 1. Women’s sport. The record attendance is not only a number, it is a shift in narrative. It tells young women that ambition has no boundaries. It reminds us that when space is created, talent steps forward and thrives. 2. Quality of the game. It was not women’s rugby as an exception, it was rugby at its very best: intensity, skill, speed, resilience. It was breathtaking. Excellence does not ask for comparison, it simply reveals itself. 3. Team spirit. The Red Roses’ victory was built on more than tactics. It was grounded in trust, culture, and unity. That is what transforms individual performance into collective triumph. Coaching, too, is about enabling potential to unfold, holding the rope so others can climb higher with confidence, purpose, and strength. If these reflections resonate with you I'd love to continue the conversation. #WomensRugby #RWC2025 #RedRoses #Leadership #ExecutiveCoaching #TeamSpirit #PotentialUnleashed
