What a day at the Nuix AI Conference. From Brendan Kerin's powerful Welcome to Country, yesterday’s event set the tone for a thoughtful, inclusive and future-focused conversation. Highlights that stuck with me: Jonathan Rubinsztein reminded us that AI is not just a tool. It is a tectonic shift. The Nuix Neo platform is designed to amplify existing investments, not replace them. Cognitive AI that understands context and nuance, with explainability and trust built in, is the foundation for legal defensibility and enterprise transformation. Kelly Bayer Rosmarin challenged us to rethink the question. Not “Is your organisation ready for AI?” but “Is your business ready to be fundamentally different?” AI does not create value through adoption. It creates value through transformation. Her advice? Make fewer, bigger bets, and treat AI as a colleague, not a calculator. The Hon. Victor Dominello brought the government lens, urging us to evolve from slow elephants to agile ones. With 30 percent of GDP tied to government spend, the ripple effect of AI adoption is enormous. His call to action: use AI to reduce suffering and improve quality of life, but do it with trust, transparency and purpose. Louise Stigwood focused on the need for sovereign infrastructure and safe AI adoption in government and society. She underscored the importance of upskilling in education and across the public sector workforce, with guardrails in place to ensure secure and inclusive citizen services. Ian Oppermann reminded us that context matters. Risk profiles vary, and ethical principles must be mapped carefully to data use. Organisations need to spend more time thinking about what can go wrong at concept and scaling phases. A deliberate but informed approach is key. Chelsea Pottenger closed with a reminder that while AI accelerates what we do, we choose how we show up. Her science-backed 5-for-5 morning routine and the Me or Them exercise that got us all up and sharing with strangers were a standout. Thanks to Jonathan Rubinsztein and the Nuix team for a rich and provocative day. Great connecting with Hayley James, Teresa A., Sara Watts, Chiara C., Nicolette Rubinsztein AM, Adam Whybrew, Chintan Shah #GetTheFutureYouWant #transformation #responsibleAI #XLR825 #AIInnovation
