Sure, if I shared something personal yesterday, I may as well keep it going today. 2,700 days. That’s how long my wee hero has been on the heart transplant waiting list. The Donate4Dáithí campaign was established almost immediately. Why would being one of the longest-waiting children in the world for the gift of a new heart be a celebration? It’s simple. Dáithí was expected to be able to wait around three years for the gift of a new heart before he would rapidly decline. That decline hasn’t been as rapid, because he we are over 7 years later. I’m not only grateful for him being here, but also grateful for the quality of his wee life and the powerful change we’ve helped create as a team. 2,700 days is a long time.
