Want more patients to say yes to treatment? It may come down to how you communicate. I worked with a practice where the provider used clinical terms like “mandible.” Patients tuned out. When we coached them to use everyday language “lower jaw,” “teeth,” “mouth” something shifted. It’s not about dumbing things down. It’s about meeting patients where they are, helping them feel comfortable, and making it easier for them to move forward with care. How do you keep your communication patient friendly?
