Our client is a rapidly growing environmental services company seeking a Landfill Engineer for their eastern OH location. The Landfill Engineer role is responsible for supporting efficient landfill operations through involvement in regulatory permitting and compliance, construction oversight, and environmental management systems. Key duties include providing technical support on landfill systems, ensuring compliance with permits, managing engineering and environmental reports, and overseeing construction activities such as cell development and quality assurance. The position also involves working with consulting firms, interacting with regulatory agencies, reviewing waste profiles, and assisting with budget planning and capital needs. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, 3–7 years of landfill engineering experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and surveying preferred.
