Navigating the current economic landscape requires a keen understanding of the Federal Reserve's strategies. Despite the intense political noise, the core economic and monetary policy decision is straightforward. Currently, the Fed funds rate is about 100 basis points too high, relative to neutral. The expectation is for a recalibration, starting with a dovish 25 basis point cut, signaling further adjustments in the near future. This approach aims to fine-tune monetary policy.
