On January 27th, WestLand’s Jennifer Levstik, Architectural Historian, attended Arizona's first annual Excellence in Government awards. She, alongside members of the Randolph Community, Arizona State Historic Preservation Officer, Kathryn Leonard, and Arizona State Parks Director and staff, was awarded 2024’s Top Ten Most Impactful Projects in Government. Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs presented this award for their work in the successful nomination of Randolph, Arizona, a historically Black community, as a Historic District in the National Register of Historic Places. Jennifer’s work as an architectural historian was instrumental in the Community’s success, leading to their inclusion in the National Register.
