7 Cups' CEO Glen Moriarty publicly cites Y Combinator as his startup funding source. Glen Moriarty is falsely representing licensed therapists on his platform without their knowledge or consent. Many providers, including myself, have discovered unauthorized profiles claiming we are affiliated with the site, despite never signing up. When therapists submit formal requests to have their information removed, they are often ignored or misled with false assurances. In my case, I was told my profile would be deleted within 48 hours over a month ago. It’s still live. To justify this unethical behavior, the CEO has publicly compared his business to a soup kitchen or homeless shelter, suggesting that, because the platform is "helping people," accuracy and consent are somehow optional. This isn’t just misleading.
