Motivation Fuel 🚀 Incredible to see as I double down on AudiowaveAI. Top month was October $500/mo. This month's run-rate is $480/mo. I've been working on improving the import of Epubs & PDFs. After using it to import Tony Dinh's new book (@tdinh_me), I was unhappy with the extra edits. Two boring and tedious tasks users complained about for a while. There is a lot to unpack in terms of figuring out the business side. Three things: 1. Pending switch to subscriptions - after trying credits for a year, it's clear it is not sustainable. This will happen this month. 2. Sustainable distribution strategy - while I managed to go viral 3 times with it, this is not a sustainable long-term strategy. With CreativeFlow, we had a distribution advantage through Figma (a low-competition app store). This meant 12K/mo visitors, which allowed us to add +$1000/mo each month 3. Product direction + key competitors - Audible, ElevenLabs, Speechify and Blinkest are the key competitors. Each has strengths I can learn from and things Audiowave already does better. Primary audience: Life-Long Learners overloaded with material, secondary: authors. There is even a faint API business potential (+5 users asked for an API). That's it for now, I'll do a longer post where I think through the business side in the open. What do you think? Love to get your take on this :)

How to Build Product Sense (Even If You’re Not a PM Yet) Welcome to the Day 14 #AIProductChallenge Product sense isn’t a skill you learn once. It’s something you grow into — quietly, over time. It’s that instinct that tells you, “This looks useful, but no one will actually use it.” Here’s what helps you build it: • Start with the problem, not the idea. Ask what’s broken before you ask what to build. A good product is just a clean fix to a real pain. • Watch how people behave, not what they say. Users rarely know what they truly want. What they do tells you more than what they say. • Ask simple questions. “Why do you do it this way?” “What happens if it disappears tomorrow?” Simplicity uncovers truth faster than complexity ever could. • Learn to see trade-offs. Every product decision is a choice between beauty and speed, between depth and reach, between now and later. Product sense lives in that tension. • Study products you admire. Pause the scroll. Open the app. Ask yourself why does this feel right? What emotion are they selling me? Do this long enough, and you’ll stop seeing apps. You’ll start seeing intentions. And that’s when you begin to think like a product person. What’s one product that feels built just for you and why? #ProductManagement #ProductDesign #ProductSense #AI #LearningInPublic #BuildInPublic #DesignThinking #UserExperience

Built PostPlanr, a simple app that helps creators plan and organize social media posts, in under 3 hours using Glide. What surprised me? Glide (glideapps.com) doesn’t just make things faster. It changes how you think. Instead of focusing on individual screens, you start thinking in systems. That shift makes your prototype feel more like a real product from day one. If you haven’t tried Glide yet, start with its AI feature. It feels like having a junior PM and designer working alongside you. Curious, how do you approach rapid prototyping?

📝 What I learned from Elena Verna's session on, “The Next Evolution of Product-Led Growth,” really changed how I think about growth. Conducted by Userpilot on 7th October 2025 ⭐Elena, Growth at Lovable Explained that PLG is no longer just about driving more signups. Instead, the focus has shifted to creating more revenue per account by understanding account-level intent, using adaptive onboarding, and focusing on outcome-driven monetization. This shift affects how teams design, experiment, and measure growth across the board. To give some background, Product-Led Growth (PLG) is a strategy where the product itself drives acquisition, activation, and retention. Users experience value right away, which fuels natural growth and keeps them coming back. 📌PLG works like a flywheel where every stage feeds into the next. - Acquire: Easy discovery and signup - Activate: Fast “Aha!” moment - Retain: Ongoing value keeps users engaged - Monetize: Users upgrade as they see more value - Refer: Happy users bring in new users organically 📌This cycle relies on a few core pillars: - Frictionless onboarding - Fast time-to-value - Built-in virality and sharing - Data-driven personalization - Continuous experimentation 💡From these insights, I understood that: - Growth starts in the product experience, not just marketing - Onboarding and journeys must be personalized and outcome-focused - AI powers real-time product adaptation for each user -Metrics shift from just signups to value and revenue per account -Teams need cross-functional collaboration across UX, product, and growth 🚀Looking into some well-known PLG examples made it even clearer, for example: - Dropbox drives growth through seamless file sharing and referral incentives - Figma grows via team collaboration - Notion scales through simple, adaptive design - Canva spreads virally with freemium value - Slack grows through natural invite loops ✨This session helped me understand that growth means designing experiences that give users their “Aha!” moment, help them retain, and naturally expand engagement. #ProductLedgrowth #GrowthStrategy #Lovable #ProductDesign #AIinGrowth #Growth

🗣️ Duolingo – Real World Practice Problem: Learning a language on an app is one thing. Using it in real-world conversations? Much harder. 😓 Most learners struggle to connect lessons to daily life, leading to drop-offs and frustration. Solution: AR-Powered Real World Practice 🌍📱 Imagine opening Duolingo → Pointing your camera at objects around you → And the app instantly teaching you the words in your target language. 🛋 Point at a sofa: “Sofá” (Spanish) ☕ Point at a coffee cup: “Tasse” (German) 🐶 Point at your dog: “Perro” (Spanish) It turns your home, street, or office into a live classroom — making learning natural and contextual. User Value: 1️⃣ Fun, hands-on way to practice daily 🌟 2️⃣ Builds confidence for real-world conversations 3️⃣ Turns passive study into active discovery Business Impact: 1️⃣ Boost in daily active usage — users come back to play and practice 2️⃣ Strong differentiation vs other language learning apps 3️⃣ Higher retention as learning becomes part of everyday life #ux #userexperience #duolingo Duolingo

💭 “Empty state” – The most forgotten screen but the one that says the most. 💡 “Empty state” happens when users interact with an app but nothing appears – no data, no result, no clue. Yet, it’s one of the most overlooked moments in product design. Every “empty” screen is actually a chance to communicate. If your message just says “No data available”, users hit a dead end. But if it says “Try adjusting your filters to see more results”, you’re guiding them. And when written with brand personality, like: Duolingo’s “Your streak could start today🔥” on an empty screen. You’re turning a pause into purpose.💛 🚀 A thoughtful empty state turns silence into connection and keeps users engaged, even when there’s nothing to see! #HeySheep #UIUX #ProductDesign #UserExperience

What makes us truly love a product, not just use it? I recently discovered a design framework that explores how joy and surprise can transform functional solutions into experiences that people deeply connect with. It’s the Delight Model by Nesrine Changuel, PhD ✨ Her approach focuses on identifying people’s motivators, turning them into product opportunities, and categorizing them into three levels of delight: surface, low, and deep. Delight = Joy + Surprise + (Functional Need + Emotional Need) This idea made me revisit "Future Heroes", a gamified social-emotional learning app for primary school kids that I designed a while ago. Looking back, I realized we were missing the deep delight, that powerful intersection where functional and emotional needs truly merge for kids. That’s when I added the “Character Call” feature. The day after failing a mission (for example), the character calls the kid to ask genuine questions. ”Hey, did something not go the way you hoped yesterday? Want to know what I do when things get frustrating?” It might transform the app from a tool kids use to a companion that genuinely connects with them. What's a product that's really delighted you recently, something that just worked perfectly and made you feel good using it? ✨ #productdesign #delightdesign #userexperience
