Palo Alto startup discovers the missing piece of AI infrastructure was hiding in plain sight: your unused internet connection. Hub.xyz just raised $1.7M to build something revolutionary. They're turning idle bandwidth into AI fuel. Here's how it works: • People share unused internet connections • Hub.xyz pools this bandwidth into a global network • AI companies get real-time, high-quality data streams • Everyone wins The timing is perfect. AI systems need fresh data constantly. Current methods are expensive and slow. SwissBorg led the funding round. They manage over $2 billion in assets. Their million-strong community will become network participants. This creates a direct bridge from investment to network value. The distributed approach solves three major AI challenges: • Reduces data staleness • Expands global coverage • Cuts infrastructure costs As co-founder Tim Sprecher says, "The future of AI infrastructure is distributed, powered by people across the globe." This isn't just another startup story. It's a glimpse into how AI infrastructure might evolve. Instead of centralized data centers, we get people-powered networks. Instead of expensive collection methods, we get shared resources. The model makes sense. Most internet connections sit idle most of the time. Why not put that bandwidth to work? What other "idle" resources could power the next wave of AI innovation? #AI #Infrastructure #Startups 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲꞉ https://lnkd.in/gC2zHiaz

Sometimes you have to wait for the right moment. I founded Sino Technology Solutions with a clear vision: help enterprises adopt transformative technology faster and more confidently. With 15+ years in the tech industry, I've had a front-row seat watching companies struggle with the same challenge: They want to adopt AI. But they don't trust it enough to deploy it. Not because the technology isn't ready, but because they can't properly TEST it. Here's what I kept seeing: → Banks that couldn't validate fraud detection models without exposing customer data → Government agencies that couldn't test AI on classified information in cloud environments → Healthcare systems that couldn't verify AI performance without HIPAA violations The pattern was clear: The market needs dedicated AI testing infrastructure. Not cloud sandboxes. Not one-off custom builds. Not "figure it out yourself" approaches. Purpose-built, on-premises AI testing environments where enterprises can validate AI workloads with their actual data, in their secure environment, under their compliance requirements. This market is wide open. We've been patient, watching the technology mature and waiting for the right partnership opportunity to make this vision real. That time is now. As a minority-owned startup, we're bringing fresh perspective and entrepreneurial hunger to an enterprise problem. We're dedicated to this market because proper testing infrastructure transforms AI from "interesting pilot" to "business-critical deployment." It shortens timelines. Reduces risk. Builds confidence. And ultimately, it helps companies actually USE and benefit from the AI solutions they're investing in. We're not just building technology. We're building the bridge between AI potential and AI reality. Ready to see where this goes. 🚀 Question for the community: What would give your organization confidence to move AI from testing to production? #Entrepreneurship #AIAdoption #TechnologyVision #MinorityOwned #StartupLife #EnterpriseInnovation #BusinessTestingEnvironment NVIDIA

🔥nexos.ai raises €30M to build a “Switzerland for LLMs” Nexos.ai, founded in late 2024 by Tomas Okmanas and Eimantas S., the duo behind Nord Security (NordVPN’s $3B parent company), has raised €30 million in Series A funding. The process has been led by Index Ventures and Evantic Capital, with support from Creandum and DIG Ventures, valuing the startup at €300 million. Their mission? To become the “Switzerland for LLMs”, a trusted, neutral platform that helps enterprises adopt AI safely, without risking data leaks or compliance breaches. At its core, Nexos.ai bridges productivity and privacy through two key products: 🧠 AI Workspace – empowering employees to use AI securely 🔐 AI Gateway – giving developers unified access, governance, and cost control over 200+ AI models from providers like OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, and Meta 👀With AI adoption accelerating across every industry, Nexos.ai is tackling a pain point most boardrooms are just beginning to face: how to integrate AI responsibly, at scale, and without losing control of sensitive data. As co-founder Okmanas puts it, the goal is to offer enterprise-grade AI governance that’s as trusted and neutral as Switzerland itself. 🌏The new funding will fuel team growth (to ~100 employees) and expansion across Europe and North America, particularly in regulated industries and public institutions where data sovereignty matters most. Enterprises may be rushing into AI, but Nexos.ai is making sure they do it securely, smartly, and sustainably.

In 2025, AI startups face several critical challenges that can make or break their success: - Data quality and bias remain top hurdles, undermining AI model reliability and trust. - The talent shortage is severe, with demand for AI experts far outstripping supply, making it hard to build and scale teams. - Proving clear ROI and aligning AI efforts with business goals is often missing, causing projects to stall. - Integrating AI with legacy systems is complex, requiring modern platforms with connectors and compliance features. - Ethical concerns, data privacy, and regulatory compliance add layers of operational risk and complexity. - Solo and early-stage founders additionally struggle with resource constraints, compute costs, and building scalable, secure infrastructures. Leading companies are addressing these by investing in cross-functional AI teams, leveraging low-code tools, forging expert partnerships, and fostering responsible AI governance to ensure continuous learning and human oversight. What’s your experience with these challenges in AI startups? Which do you find most critical to overcome right now? #AIStartups #ArtificialIntelligence #TechChallenges #DataQuality #TalentShortage #AIIntegration #ResponsibleAI #StartupGrowth #Innovation Source: https://lnkd.in/gpPck78N -- Posted with Amiable https://lnkd.in/gTVeh-RS

🧠 AI in Europe: Progress, Pushback & Possibility Been following the latest AI developments across the EU, and it’s a fascinating mix of ambition and growing pains. 🇮🇹 Italy just made history by passing the EU’s first national AI law. It’s surprisingly tough — requiring parental consent for kids under 14 to use AI, introducing prison sentences for misuse (like deepfakes), and launching a €1B fund to support AI, cybersecurity, and quantum startups. At the same time, the EU-wide AI Act might be delayed. Some countries are worried it could slow down innovation, especially for startups. Others argue we need strong guardrails now — not later. Europe’s also rolling out the AI Continent Action Plan to become a global leader. It’s ambitious: AI gigafactories, cloud independence, SME support. But adoption is still low — only 14% of EU businesses used AI last year, and a lot of top talent is heading to the US. It feels like Europe is at a crossroads: big vision, but real challenges in scaling and retaining talent. Would love to hear what others think — are we moving fast enough, or falling behind? #AI #Europe #TechPolicy #Innovation #DigitalTransformation #Startups #MachineLearning #AIEthics
