It’s Pharmacy Week, a great time to celebrate the pharmacies that act as trusted healthcare partners, small businesses, and community anchors. If you want to support independent pharmacies, here are a few concrete ways to make a difference. 💠 Choose local first. Fill your prescriptions at independent pharmacies when possible. Every prescription counts. 💠 Share your experience. Leave reviews, post about the exceptional care you receive, or simply tell a friend. Word-of-mouth goes a long way. 💠 Advocate for fair policies. Encourage your elected officials to support PBM reform that gives independent pharmacies a fair chance to compete. 💠 Engage with your pharmacy team. Ask questions, listen to their advice, and build a relationship. It strengthens that pharmacy-patient bond. The bottom line is this: Independent pharmacies thrive when communities recognize their value and choose to support them in tangible ways.

As we look to the future, we can expect training and education standards, regulatory frameworks, and technology infrastructure to evolve in support of this shift. But here’s the reality: with each layer of expansion, the demands on pharmacists and their teams will grow. That means more conditions to assess, more documentation to complete, more billing codes to remember, more follow-up to track — all while staying fully compliant with other regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest standard of patient care. Frankly, doing all of that without the right tools will be nearly impossible if you want to remain competitive and relevant in the next era of pharmacy practice. Read the blog, authored by our CEO Dr. Nardine Nakhla, to learn how you can future-proof your pharmacy practice: https://lnkd.in/d87tsFgc
