October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month — a time to elevate conversations about prevention, early detection and health equity. At Yuvo, we're proud to support community health centers who are critical in reaching underserved populations. To us, high-quality breast cancer screening is more than a metric — it's essential patient care. That's why we're proud to partner with CHCs to promote breast cancer screening while driving quality improvement in multiple ways: 🎯 Equitable contracting — creating value-based contracts that recognize CHCs’ challenges and create a real opportunity to succeed in measures like Breast Cancer Screening. 🤝 Hands-on guidance — supporting patient outreach, data analysis and local screening events. ✅ Ensuring CHCs get paid for the care they deliver — capturing missed screenings through documentation and quality reporting support. The result? One partner, Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center, improved its breast cancer screening rate from 57% to 61% in just one year. Additionally, across the Yuvo network, together we achieved a 65% improvement in overall quality performance across all metrics for which full-year data existed in 2022–2023, including Breast Cancer Screening, Colorectal Cancer Screening, Immunizations for Adults, and Postpartum Care. 🔗 Read how Yuvo and CHC partners are driving quality improvement in Breast Cancer Screenings here: https://lnkd.in/eEFKNT3B #BreastCancerAwareness #HealthEquity #ValueBasedCare #CommunityHealth #CHCs #FQHCs #CommunityCare #QualityImprovement

Breast cancer is recognized as the most common cancer affecting women worldwide. Its incidence transcends age, socioeconomic status, and lifestyle choices, underscoring the necessity for all women to be informed about this disease. On average, approximately 150 new cases are diagnosed each day. However, there is a positive outlook: thanks to significant advancements in early detection and treatment, 89 % of women diagnosed with breast cancer are expected to survive for five years or more following their diagnosis. Early detection plays a crucial role in improving outcomes.Regular mammography screenings starting at age 40 (or earlier for those at higher risk), and maintaining open communication with healthcare providers are simple yet effective strategies that can greatly enhance survival rates. It is essential that we continue to educate the public, advocate for awareness, and empower individuals within our communities. Together, we can strengthen our collective efforts in the fight against breast cancer.

Equity in cancer care means ensuring that no diagnosis is overlooked. Yet uterine cancer, one of the most common gynecologic cancers, remains under-recognized in the U.S. and globally. The result is preventable gaps in outcomes and access, particularly for underserved communities at greatest risk. Working with leading advocacy organizations worldwide, AstraZeneca has released Spotlight on Uterine Cancer: Shaping Access to Equitable and High-Quality Care. The position paper calls for urgent action to close diagnostic gaps, expand access to innovation and embed uterine cancer within global health priorities. We launched this resource at the 2025 Concordia Annual Summit, reinforcing the United Nations General Assembly ’s call to strengthen action on noncommunicable diseases. Together, these moments highlight the growing recognition that progress in cancer care requires collaboration across sectors. The message is clear: equity must extend to all individuals facing uterine cancer, everywhere. I invite you to read the paper and join us in advancing this essential work. #UterineCancerAwareness #WomensHealth #UNGA80 #GynecologicCancerAwarenessMonth

October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month – a time to reflect on progress, but also on the work that still lies ahead. Despite decades of research, advocacy, and investment, over one-third of women in the U.S. are still diagnosed at Stage 3 or later. Late detection not only impacts survival rates but also drives treatment costs that are nearly 3x higher compared to diagnoses at Stage 1. At TCB Capital Advisors, we are proud to support innovators like Clairity, Inc., the first and only FDA-authorized AI prognostic platform that transforms a routine mammogram into a five-year breast cancer risk score. By identifying hidden risk earlier, Clairity is helping health systems, payers, and women themselves shift the paradigm from late detection to prevention and proactive care. This month – and every month – we stand with the millions of women and families affected by breast cancer, and we are committed to advancing solutions that bring earlier detection, equitable access, and better outcomes to the forefront.

🇬🇧 **breast cancer screening** Category : Health | Pays : UnitedKingdom **Early Detection: Your Key to Beating Breast Cancer in the UK** Breast cancer remains a significant health challenge, but thanks to advancements, early detection offers the best chance of successful treatment. In the UK, the NHS Breast Screening Programme plays a crucial role in catching potential issues before symptoms even appear. Understanding and participating in this vital service can genuinely save lives and improve outcomes for countless individuals. Regular breast cancer screening, primarily through mammograms, is designed to identify subtle changes in breast tissue that could indicate cancer. This proactive approach allows for diagnosis and intervention at an early stage when treatments are often more effective, less invasive, and lead to significantly higher survival rates. Don't wait for symptoms; screening is about prevention and peace of mind. In the UK, women aged 50 to 71 are automatically invited for free NHS breast screening every three years. These appointments are quick, simple, and conducted by trained professionals in a supportive environment. If you fall within this age range, ensure you attend when invited. If you have concerns, a family history of breast cancer, or are outside this age range, speak to your GP about your options and risk factors. Prioritising your health is paramount. Breast cancer screening is a powerful tool in the fight against this disease, offering you the best chance of an early diagnosis and a positive outcome. Don't delay—respond to your invitation, or contact your GP if you have questions. Take control of your health and share this message to empower others. #BreastCancerAwareness #CancerScreening #WomensHealth #NHS #UKHealth #EarlyDetection #PreventativeCare #HealthTrends #PublicHealth #Health #UnitedKingdom #trends

GV Health has received national funding through the Cancer Australia Partnerships for Culturally Safe Cancer Care program. The three-year project will be delivered in partnership with Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-operative, VACCHO, Border Medical Oncology, GenesisCare Shepparton, Hume Regional Integrated Cancer Service and Murray PHN. It will focus on improving cancer care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Goulburn Valley by: -Creating dedicated community-based roles to support patients and families as they navigate the cancer system. -Ensuring services are responsive, co-ordinated and grounded in cultural safety. -Strengthening partnerships and trust between local communities and health providers. The Goulburn Valley is home to one of the largest Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations in Victoria outside Melbourne, making the region an ideal place to pilot new models of care that could be expanded more widely in the future. We’re proud to announce the launch of the PanCAN Smart Patients Community — a new online space created for #pancreaticcancer patients and caregivers. With an emphasis on privacy, empathy and security, Smart Patients brings a powerful platform for connection and support in the pancreatic cancer community. The PanCAN Smart Patients Community provides a moderated environment where members can: 🙋♀️ Ask questions 💬 Discuss treatments 💜 Compare experiences and learn from others who truly understand what they’re going through Pancreatic cancer can bring complex challenges, and this resource helps reduce isolation and empowers patients and families with the wisdom of lived experience. As part of this collaboration, the online peer support community includes two condition-specific discussion groups: one for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), the most common type of pancreatic cancer, and another for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNET), a rarer form of the disease. Together, we’re ensuring no one has to face this disease alone. The PDAC and PNET groups within the PanCAN Smart Patients Community are now available and free to join for anyone impacted by pancreatic cancer ➡️ https://lnkd.in/g4t8-xr6
