CDR isn't a side project at Zalando – it's coded into our DNA 🧬 Our SVP Corporate Governance & General Counsel, Dr. Lena Wallenhorst, MBA, LLM spoke at the CDR Conference about what Corporate Digital Responsibility (CDR) means in practice for a European tech company. For us, CDR is an integral part of the Zalando DNA. It’s integrated in our commitment to building a high-quality, trustworthy shopping experience and long-term relationships with our brand partners. However, that responsibility needs a fair foundation. Lena highlighted a critical point: CDR relies on the effective enforcement of laws. When competitors operate on non-compliant standards, it creates an unfair playing field and raises the question of how much responsibility companies can afford. Lena discussed this and other points with State Secretary Frank Schwabe, Janina Mütze and Isabelle Rosière – moderated by Christian Thorun. What unites all is the commitment to CDR and the value we see in it.
