Meet Jabir Hassan and Anuradha Sulane from Regent College London. Their team is using VR to boost engagement for mature and unique students by gamifying tough topics like databases and object-oriented programming, and creating multisensory learning that students actually look forward to. On campus, they run a dedicated tech lab as well as a flexi tech lab so students and staff can collaborate remotely. They are building tons of new content using Zoe, and are forming industry partnerships, including Microsoft, to move into real-world projects. What's next? As Anuradha says, “It gives us power to create something.” Start small, plan well, and design VR that meets your students where they are. #regentcollegelondon #higheredtech #higheredinnovation #immersivelearning

At EDUmetaverse we're using World Labs to create Splats, which we can import into FrameVR as explorable worlds. When we combine that with Google Flow and our in-world guide Jess, we can place students inside incredibly immersive environments, limited only by our imaginations. Let's talk about student engagement! With that in mind, here's Vincent van Gogh inside a living painting. Art, history, literacy and digital creation merge into a single learning experience. There are worlds within worlds here. This is not about replacing teachers, or creativity. It is about amplifying both. Here's the link to the actual world so you can check it out. We’re ready to talk. https://lnkd.in/g4ESyd-G We're now looking to work with any forward thinking Education Departments in Australia and beyond. Helping to push learning to another level. First come - first served :-) - The future of learning is already here! Short-term (1–4 years): We’re building a digital campus of the future, a virtual hub that mirrors the full college experience while bridging the gap between academia, industry, and lifelong learning. Students, professionals, researchers, and educators will have access to a complete ecosystem of tools: social media, simulations, case-based learning, digital labs, productivity suites, AI debaters, gamified clubs, and more. Beyond general tools, we’ll launch career-specific platforms: Music studio with monetization via streaming & in-game radio Finance & investing hub with social trading Media lab for journalists, writers & filmmakers Startup incubator Game dev/design marketplace for indie creators Ai and tech stores, Distributed computation, storage and data , and GPU marketplaces for tech & research All of this will exist inside a virtual city, where web and spatial apps become in-game features: GTA meets Second Life meets Web3, but with real tools and simulated digital twins. The first launch is our social journal & relationship app, with upcoming modules like Questbook (productivity/PM), Training Center (LMS), and themed in-game points of interest. In essence: we’re mapping open-world RPG mechanics onto real-world college life. Long-term (4–10 years): Expand the virtual ecosystem beyond academia to cover work, career, and everyday life, creating a lifelong digital society. We're beta-testing our social journal and dating app. Please visit: www.arkhamarchives.net #socialmedia #artificialsocieties #digitaltwins #simulations

Take a look at this video of our Year 11 Computer Science students, who had the chance to utilise more of the incredible new equipment we have in school. They took their learning into augmented reality, using Meta Quest 3 headsets and the ATX Motherboard app to explore the inner workings of a computer system. Working in pairs, students examined key hardware components - from the CPU and RAM to storage and power connections - in an interactive 3D space. The session tied directly to the IGCSE Computer Science syllabus, reinforcing understanding of hardware, system architecture, and data flow. Not only is this a hi-tech and fun way of learning, but it gave the students a real insight into how AR and VR are shaping the future of learning in computer science. #RealiseYourPotential #AI #WellingtonIntellectual #VR

🔓 Logged In with Kiran 👩🏻💻 Entry #12 — Learning in Motion: Exploring Unity & Mixed Reality 🎮 #Intern(ally)Growing @Microsoft As part of my semester course, I’ve been diving into Unity Essentials, learning how virtual worlds come alive through motion, physics, and interactivity. 🌍 This week, I built my first Unity experiment a small but exciting physics setup where a ball bounces and collides with blocks, helping me understand how motion and interaction work in 3D space. 🎥 Unity makes Mixed Reality possible by providing the tools to design and simulate interactive 3D environments that merge the virtual and physical worlds. It’s incredible to see how game development blends creativity, logic, and design and how it’s at the foundation of emerging technologies like Mixed Reality (MR). 💡Did you know 🤔 - Microsoft has been a pioneer in bringing Mixed Reality to life — from creating the HoloLens headset to building the Windows Mixed Reality platform that combines the digital and physical worlds. These innovations are helping developers design immersive experiences for education, medicine, design, and beyond shaping the future of how we interact with technology. 🚀 As I explore Unity, I’m beginning to see how these concepts overlap with AI — agents, environments, and human interaction all coming together to create intelligent, immersive systems. If you’re curious to learn too, Unity provides a great free learning pathway: 🎓 https://lnkd.in/dXPpbZuj — perfect for beginners who want to understand the fundamentals of game development and 3D experiences. Learning beyond my main AI focus has reminded me how interconnected these fields really are. Whether it’s building intelligent agents or simulating physics in Unity, it’s all about making technology feel more human. 🎥 Sharing a short clip from my first Unity simulation below! 👇 Keep Learning and Stay Tuned 🤓 — Kiran Panchal 👩🏻💻 #LoggedInWithKiran #InternallyGrowing #MicrosoftIntern #LifeAsAnIntern #WomenInTech #Unity3D #MixedReality #GameDevelopment #LearningJourney #HoloLens #AI

How can we make technology easier for people to understand and use? 💻✨ Visual Languages and Human-Centric Computing (VL/HCC) is one method that focuses on humans, rather than machines or complex code. Recently, the VEX Robotics Education Team attended the IEEE Symposium on this topic. 🌟 There, they presented on how the collaboration between VEX Robotics and SEAMEO STEM-ED Center is helping educators in Southeast Asia build inclusive and effective teaching practices using VEXcode VR. 📖 Learn more in the full VEX PD+ Insights article by Dr. Yuhan (Jimmy) Lin here (no subscription required): https://bit.ly/435RLZM

Educators as Innovators Every time I work with an educator implementing zSpace, Inc., I’m reminded of something powerful: Innovation doesn’t start with technology—it starts with teachers, mentors, coaches, etc. willing to try something new. From CTE directors designing hybrid labs to educators using zSpace for student credentialing prep, this movement is led by those who believe students deserve better tools and better futures. Labtech is excited to partner with zSpace in transforming education through immersive 3D technology. We're creating content that empowers educators to bring abstract concepts to life—from virtual dissections to engineering simulations to hands-on technical training. This isn't just about technology; it's about giving students the practical skills and real-world experience they need to succeed in tomorrow's workforce. Together, we're proving that when educators embrace innovation and students can interact with their learning in three dimensions, anything is possible. How are you bringing modern learning techniques into your classroom?
