33 sites that will make you a genius

The Internet is constantly building up its position as a source of new knowledge. It is not necessary to read Oxford's professor the book. At the meanwhile, this professor can conduct his own online courses in which he shares his knowledge.

A small problem is that there are a lot of educational sites. And given the fact that each of them contains dozens or even hundreds of courses, it's not easy to understand their abundance. Here is a list of 33 training sites selected by the entrepreneur and blogger Thomas Oppong.

1.  BBC Future — is an aggregator of articles and videos about the modern world.

2.  99U — YouTube channel about productivity, self-organization and leadership.

3.  YouTube EDU — is the part of YouTube devoted to educational videos.

4.  WikiWand — is a more thoughtful and functional interface for Wikipedia.

5.  The long read (The Guardian) — section of the The Guardian, devoted to thoughtful reporting and longreadings.

6.  TED — video with outstanding people who share their experiences.

7.  iTunes U — iTunes section, devoted to the lectures of leading universities.

8.  Insightful Questions — Reddit section for intelligent discussions.

9.  Cerego — service for creating a training plan depending on your strengths and weaknesses.

10. University of the People — is a free online university that offers courses in various specialties (accredited).

11. Open Sesame — a platform for courses trading.

12. CreativeLive — free courses on creative specialties from world’s experts.

13. Coursera — this site containing hundreds of courses of famous universities from around the world.

14. University of Reddit  — section Reddit, where users share their knowledge.

15. Quora — website where you can find answers to a wide variety of questions, from business to comics.

16. Digital Photography School — a site with articles devoted to teaching photography.

17. Umano — is the largest collection of audio recordings of articles that voiced by people.

18. Peer 2 Peer University — is an open educational project.

19. MIT Open CourseWare — free courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

20. Gibbon — service for compilation of training playlists.

21. Investopedia — training in investing, in financial markets and personal finance.

22. Udacity — online courses focus on technologies.

23. Mozilla Developer Network — documentation for web developers training.

24. Future Learn — free online courses from leading universities.

25. Google Scholar — search in the scientific literature: books, articles, excerpts and magazines.

26. Brain Pump — a place for daily learning something new.

27. Mental Floss — tests to determine the level of knowledge in different areas.

28. Learnist — learning with the help of content that been selected by experts.

29. DataCamp — online tutorials and courses on the science of data.

30. edX — online courses of different universities.

31. Highbrow — small daily courses that you send to your mail.

33. Platzi — online lessons on design, marketing and programming.
