All About Operations at Brilliant Earth's new Secaucus, NJ Location

Brilliant Earth’s Product Operations team coordinates and executes day-to-day operations of order processing, inventory, logistics, fulfillment, and production, while maintaining strong relationships with our partners. This department collaborates within a close-knit team and supports various functions that keep our product moving and our customers happy! Our team is comprised of problem solvers who are passionate about ensuring that every Brilliant Earth purchase meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

We are excited to continue to grow our Operations team in our new Secaucus, NJ location. Under the Operations umbrella, there are multiple sub-teams, all playing a very crucial role in Brilliant Earth’s success. Our Secaucus location is home to three of our largest sub-teams: Inventory, Fulfillment, and Quality Assurance as well as our Manufacturing and Production team. Fulfillment

Our Fulfillment team is dedicated to delivering excellence from the time a customer places an order to the moment a customer opens their package.

The fulfillment team are the first hands on every product, conducting the first and last checks depending on where they are in the process. Having a high attention to detail is a very important quality to have.

Inventory

The primary objective of our Inventory team is to maintain and control inventory accuracy and integrity across all Brilliant Earth locations. A few of the tasks and responsibilities that this team manages include order pulling for showroom and customer needs, making sure product is in the appropriate location, managing cycle counts and ensuring inventory levels are correct, and coordinating product for use by our creative teams.

Quality Assurance

Our Quality Assurance team manages the inspection of jewelry using their expert knowledge of gems, diamonds, metals, and jewelry manufacturing. This hands-on, detail-oriented team executes quality assurance best practices to ensure inventory and finished product meet Brilliant Earth’s high-quality standards. The team coordinates and manages diamond intake, repairs, post-sales needs, and the physical quality assurance process. Above all else, the QA team values team members who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment and approach each challenge and opportunity with a positive mindset.

 Tori Ringquist, a leader on our Operations team, started on the team as an Operations Associate and is passionate about providing growth opportunities to the team. She shares how each team member plays a crucial role in maintaining and building a positive team culture:

Repairs

Our repairs team focuses on manufacturing and production, while maintaining strong relationships with our partners. They work hands on with our jewelry products, including assembling rings, setting stones, and polishing, ensuring our customers receive high quality pieces.   

While our operations department is made up of more teams beyond those highlighted above, the core values across all roles remain the same.
