Calling all Interns!! Come Hack HR @ LinkedIn!!

Calling all SF Bay Area interns….all types of interns at all types of companies!! We would love to see you at LinkedIn Festival, our first ever non-technical Hackathon, starting Friday July 31st at 6pm.

Here’s the scoop:

The word "hack” has grown to mean any type of creative and innovative solution to a common problem, and the companies in Silicon Valley have become leaders in creatively addressing business challenges like managing hyper growth and attracting the best talent. So, if “to hack" means to find innovative solutions to problems like leveraging data and insights to recruit faster and more effectively, finding an easier way to recognize colleagues for a job well done, or helping develop a company culture that draws talent to your organization… then yes, I am a hacker too.

We are going where no company in Silicon Valley has gone before to host the LinkedIn Festival: A Non-Technical Hackathon, our first-ever HR Hackathon.

What does this mean? This means that interns in the Bay Area from any company and with any expertise (including but not limited to Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, etc) can finally enter the world of hacking, participating in an overnight, marathon-length competition for the chance to win scholarships and prizes. This hackathon will showcase the importance of hacks in all areas of business, but specifically in HR, the business function focused on the heart and soul of companies – the employees. LinkedIn Festival is free and open to hackers of all kinds, so spread the word! We will have Hack Coaches there to offer advice throughout the event and lots of awesome food, fun, prizes, an incredible panel of judges… plus a DJ set by yours truly. See you there!!
