What a weekend full of hype and controversy. Curve Finance was hit by an exploit, while Base became home to the biggest degen memecoin hype since PEPE. It’s not all positive, but there’s definitely a lot of energy in Web3.

This weekend DeFi degens turned $100 into $1,000,000
Coinbase’s Base network has become the new DeFi sensation, as memecoins have generated generational wealth for some of the DeFi degens. Led by the BALD memecoin, some DeFi degens managed to turn a couple of hundred dollars into millions. It’s still a bit difficult to get started on the Base network, but we wrote a guide to help you get started.
Exploit hit Curve Finance and drains some pools
Security issues surrounding the Vyper compiler, a couple of pools on Curve have been exploited and (partially) drained. This includes CRV/ETH, alETH/ETH, msETH/ETH and pETH/ETH. Stay up to date through the official socials. Activity on Curve hit new highs, while the TVL took a serious hit of -40% to $1.38 billion over the past 30 days.
