Day 88 of 100 Days of Growth: Embracing Change Through Context Switching 🌏

Hey everyone,

This week, one of my colleagues embarked on a foreign assignment in Singapore for a few months. I'm extremely happy for him because I believe that one of the best ways to accelerate learning is through context switching.

The Power of Context Switching

1️⃣ Exposure to New Environments

• Adaptability: Changing environments challenge us to adapt and learn quickly.

• Highlighting Similarities and Differences: It helps us recognize universal principles that remain constant, no matter where we are.

• Cultural Insights: Understanding cultural nuances enhances our ability to collaborate globally.

3️⃣ Enhanced Problem-Solving Skills

My Personal Journey

Reflecting on my own experiences, I've greatly benefited from exploring places around the world. During my younger years, I traveled from Hong Kong to Sydney to study. Later on, I worked in Southeast Asia, Mainland China, the US, and Europe.

Every time I entered a new context, I felt like I had a second chance to live something new with a refreshed mind. These experiences:

• Broadened My Horizons: Each new place offered unique lessons and insights.

• Enhanced Adaptability: Navigating different cultures and work environments improved my flexibility.

• Fostered Personal Growth: Stepping out of my comfort zone led to significant personal and professional development.
