The Enhanced Leadership Project: How Leadership Can Be Simplified Without Being Diminished

Wow! Two weeks in a row, publishing this newsletter!

Well, since my reemergence with last week's article, I have received some questions and feedback I would like to share with you.

First of all, I want to share some unsolicited feedback from a trusted colleague on how he views my leadership and what my clients and mentees can expect from me. This colleague said I "simplify leadership without diminishing it."

I have never thought of it that way, and I think he nailed it.

For me, leadership is black and white and can be very simple. When I work with other leaders, I help them realize its simplicity and provide them with tools they should consider and employ when leading. Consistently keeping these tools in mind when leading allows the leader to simplify their leadership.

This brings me to The Enhanced Leadership Project (ELP), which I co-created with Ty Firsching of Traid Leadership . Ty and I have known each other for decades, and finally, several years ago, we started discussing our passions. Ty's passion is Active Personal Engagement (APE), and mine is helping other leaders learn to lead with confidence.

Ironically, the foundations of our programs are identical.

  • Ty's approach to APE is based on the premise that everyone should focus on personal development, provided they do it in a manner that is right for them.
  • My approach to leadership? Leaders need to lead in a manner that aligns with their morals, ethics, values, and context.

Our identical philosophies were the nexus for The Enhanced Leadership Project.

We are now collaborating with the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce (WVCC) to offer ELP to all willing leaders. Your organization/company does not need to be affiliated with the WVCC, and you do not have to be a veteran to participate in ELP.

In addition to helping leaders understand how to simplify leadership, ELP will help you jump-start your personal development and reveal how leadership can manifest itself in your current role.

💯We welcome all leaders to the Enhanced Leadership Project who want to develop internally and align that growth with external, actionable leadership tenets.
