A tertiary building in Brussels opts for geothermal energy

Developed by Immobel, Commerce 46 is a 12-storey office complex with three underground levels and total floor area of 14,200 sq. metres. Situated in the European Quarter of Brussels, the building has been occupied by European Commission services since June 2024. To supply its energy needs, it uses geothermal energy with 64 boreholes, each 93 meters deep, operated in a closed-loop system with heat pumps. Cegelec HVAC Commercial South (VINCI Energies Building Solutions) has been entrusted with the HVAC installations and energy monitoring for this vast office block.

In Portugal, a new energy source for a luxury real estate development

In Portugal, Sotécnica (VINCI Energies Building Solutions), has developed real expertise in the use of geothermal energy. Its latest achievement in this area is Ombria Resort, a luxury housing project in the Algarve region of southern Portugal.

Tiago Mendes , Commercial Manager at Sotécnica, explains: “Drawing on our considerable expertise in mechanical engineering, we successfully installed advanced HVAC systems, a building management system, comprehensive plumbing and sanitation solutions, plus the fire protection and gas networks.”

Geothermal energy comes to the Parc de Bagatelle, Paris

On behalf of the Fondation Mansart , Valentin (VINCI Energies Building Solutions) is managing a project to upgrade three historical buildings in the Parc de Bagatelle in western Paris to geothermal systems, which will reduce their CO2 emissions by 90%.
