As Arlington continues to expand into the United States and build its exceptional team across North America, Arlington welcomes Tim Pire to Arlington’s Advisory Board, Lana Driscoll as a Managing Director, co-leading Arlington’s North American Board, CEO and Legal Practice, and Alex Teijeira, as the incoming Managing Director of Arlington’s Energy, Resources and Infrastructure Practices, globally.

Tim Pire

Tim Pire, CFA is an Advisory Board member with Arlington Partners International. Tim brings global institutional investment and executive experience from his 25 plus years as Senior Managing Director as a global real estate investment advisor. In addition, Tim serves on several public company boards where he focuses on strategy and best in class governance. Tim is also a senior lecturer at the University of Wisconsin, Madison School of Business teaching about REITs. 

Tim is a former Senior Managing Director at Heitman, a Chicago based institutional real estate investment advisor. At Heitman, Tim was focused on leading REIT investment platform and being the REIT Global Chief Investment Officer/North American Portfolio Manager. The REIT platform had over $4.5 billion in assets under management. While at Heitman, Tim led the effort to expand Heitman’s REIT investment through expansion of investment strategies, broadening distribution channels, building a global REIT investment platform and generating consistent positive investment performance relative to various benchmarks. In addition, Tim was a member of Heitman’s management committee, board, compensation committee and proxy committee.

As a member of the University of Wisconsin faculty, Tim focuses on working with students to better understand the REIT sector. His main focus is as Director of the Applied Real Estate Investment Tract (AREIT). The AREIT program is overseen by Tim and a prestigious external Board of REIT portfolio managers, private equity investors and pension funds, across the US and globally.

Currently Chair of the Board of Primaris REIT and a member of its Audit Committee. Primaris REIT is one of the largest Canadian owners and managers of enclosed shopping centers and one of the largest owners and operators of retail property of all formats across Canada. Tim is also a Board Director and member of the Audit and Debt Committees of Fibra Terrafina, a real estate investment trust that acquires, develops, leases and manages industrial real estate properties in Mexico.

With an appreciation for strategic processes that ensure effective decision making, good governance and diversity of thought around board and executive tables globally, Tim joins Arlington’s Advisory Board as an ambassador of Arlington’s innovative approach to building businesses, boards and teams across North America.

Lana Driscoll

Arlington’s Global Board, CEO and Legal Practice

As a Managing Director in Arlington’s Corporate Practice, Lana Driscoll is responsible for co-leading Arlington’s global Board, CEO and Legal Practice across industry sectors. Lana Driscoll brings 25 years of experience partnering with domestic and international clients in Executive Search and Selection in the Private Practice and In House legal sectors, having been a Partner and Consultant in both national and international firms including ZSA and Marsden International.

An exceptional relationship builder, Lana brings a values-based, authentic and transparent approach to Arlington’s Board, CEO and Legal search process, aligning Selection Committees on key success factors, while supporting Board Directors, Chief Executive Officers, General Counsels, and senior executives to opportunities where they can each ensure they will make their mark and transform the organization, while elevating their own impact as leaders and defining their own next chapters.

In addition to the Board, CEO and Legal Practice, Lana also co-leads the first module of Arlington’s Board and Executive Talent Management Program, partnering with executives to unlock their networks and take their Board, Advisory and Executive careers to the next level.  With a focus on diversity of thought, Lana welcomes the opportunity to join forces with a team of outstanding Managing Directors at Arlington, each making an impact on the most innovative Boards, corporations and leaders across North America.

Alex Teijeira

Managing Director

Arlington’s Global Energy, Resources and Infrastructure Practice

Alex Teijeira, BBA, LL.B., CHRL, GRHR is a Managing Director of Arlington Partners International. Alex advises clients across multiple sectors and leads Arlington’s global Energy, Resources and Infrastructure (“ERI”) Practices, while providing talent-related strategic and governance advice to a wide range of organizations and leaders. 

With 25 years of global executive HR and legal expertise in corporate, employment and labour law, Alex has led global executive searches in North and South America, Europe and Africa. With expertise in strategic HR planning and digital transformations, Alex has enabled talent best practices within diverse industries, and has made a mark within Energy, Resources, CPG, Retail and Financial Institutions globally. 

Prior to joining Arlington, Alex was the Vice President, Global Employee and Labour Relations at Scotiabank, providing culture and risk governance for performance and conduct within Scotiabank’s international operations. Previously, Alex was the SVP, Head of Human Resources at Laurentian Bank of Canada, with a mandate to enhance talent and productivity across the bank.  At IAMGOLD, Alex established the strategic global HR function to enable operational effectiveness and generate growth in an international, decentralized environment.  Alex’s leadership across sectors has led to internal and external recognition for building the best places to work with a focus on diversity and the engagement of high-performing teams.

As the first Canadian team member for Target Canada, Alex focused on establishing a strong talent engagement framework for the company’s first international expansion.  Alex has also led human resources, legal functions and marketing initiatives within PepsiCo Canada and Kruger Products.  Alex began his international career with Schlumberger, in Europe, North America and Asia. Alex is joining an outstanding senior leadership team at Arlington each sharing a passion for transformation and growth of organizations and leaders alike.
