We would like to introduce a representative student from Cambodia, let’s listen to our interview with Vannak ORN about his experience with this program!

1.Which department are you working for, and what role is it? How can the skills and experience you gained from this internship assist your future career?

As a Compliance Trainee in Compliance Department, I have learned many new things, especially about compliance issues in the financial sector, which will be very helpful for my future career when I return to Cambodia. Additionally, I have the chance to explore the new working culture in Taipei.

2. What is the best benefit in participating in this scholarship program?

By joining this program, I can earn lots of benefits, mainly a Master’s degree. Besides receiving the degree, I have a chance to be involved in related work designed purposely for career and future growth.

At the same time, I can meet new people to exchange for lessons learned such as culture, language, and social issues.

3. What advice would you give to other candidates who are considering joining the next generation of this scholarship program?

I have some advice for other candidates who wish to join the next-generation program:

• Build a good background of your academic and work experiences.
• Prepare yourself to challenge new things and trade off your current job for the future career that you wish to reach.
• Always self-motivated and never give up.
