Golf day another great success

Our annual Charity Golf Day and Dinner was another roaring success. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event, including those who couldn't make it but sent donations anyway. Highlights from the day are below as well as the amount we raised for charity. And we also have news about our first accredited One World Certificate suppliers.

MA Group Charity Golf Day and Dinner

The Oxfordshire Golf Hotel and Spa was the venue for the MA Group Charity Golf Day and Dinner again this year. We had a record number of attendees and feedback has been incredibly positive about the day.

One World Certification

On World Environment Day we awarded our first One World Certificates to two of our suppliers who have met the criteria for the MA Group One World Certification.

Ever since we launched our accreditation earlier this year, we’ve been encouraging all of our suppliers to meet the criteria – so it gave us great pleasure to award the first two certificates to HRM Contracts and MEA Projects.

Our One World Certification is a new accreditation for our supply chains that embodies our commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles. This initiative aligns with MA Group’s dedication to sustainable practices and empowers our supply chain partners to demonstrate their own commitments to this vision.

By implementing the One World Certification scheme MA Group and its suppliers are collectively demonstrating a commitment to responsible business practices, enhanced transparency, and a sustainable future for all. Together, we are fulfilling our ESG objectives set out in MA Group ’s ESG report; we are leading the way towards a more ethical and environmentally conscious industry.

The certificate can be displayed on suppliers' websites and other materials to demonstrate their commitment to ESG.

We have established a standard set of criteria for all suppliers, which we are asking them to adopt. For suppliers who do not currently meet these standards, MA Group is providing support to help them comply. The standard set of criteria covers the following areas:

Environmental – fleet management, business emissions, environmental management and waste management

Social – community support, whistleblowing, diversity and inclusion, health and safety and modern slavery

Governance – anti-bribery, anti-money laundering and vulnerable customers.

Any suppliers who would like to find out more about this new initiative should contact our Supply Chain Director, Marc Etchells at marc.etchells@maassist.com.

British Transplant Games

MA Group MAD Awards

Our May winner was David Shimwell, MA Group Procurement Director. David has transformed our sponsored training for Revival branches. He has put in place a very structured and comprehensive training programme for our branch network (and relevant internal staff) which ensures consistency against the core competencies that Revival needs to deliver. He had to set up agreements with training providers, arrange training facilities and plan it all in for the rest of the year - and make sure it all came in under budget.

Well done David, keep up the good work.

A fantastic day all round - great to see such a strong turnout and an incredible amount raised for a brilliant cause. Proud to have sponsored the halfway house and be part of the event. Well done to the MA Group Property Claims team for putting on another top day! 👏⛳️
