I had a super time chatting with Rian McKay on his podcast, Around the Blockchain. We talked about how I developed a passion for computers and coding, which eventually led to building websites, and how Finder was co-founded. It’s fascinating how one road leads to another.
When I got started in crypto, I didn't know anything about investing but I learnt how to understand exchanges, and most importantly, I enjoyed the learning process.
Now I’m a crypto entrepreneur, enthusiast, investor, creator, sometimes a farmer, and I have a new fascination with the play-to-earn (P2E) gaming space and DAOs – decentralised autonomous organisations.
DAOs are incredible because I think this is the year for people to come together and contribute and benefit from that all together. I think there needs to be more clarity around regulation. But all in all, it’s an amazing construct and it’s going to get bigger and have more structure.
Back in 2018, I was asked what’s it going to take to get a mass adoption of crypto. My answer: “win games and start to adopt crypto as a form of payment”, among other things. I thought natively that would bring a huge number of new and existing people into the space to adopt digital currencies.
Fast forward to 2022 and you can understand my enthusiasm in advising Balthazar and getting my feet wet in this new and emerging P2E space. The potential and possibilities are endless.
