London Tech Week: Day 3 ✨
London Tech Week – it's been incredible 🌟
We’re wrapping up 3 days at Olympia, and around London, of the biggest names, the biggest announcements, and the biggest topics in all things tech.
We welcomed over 45,000 attendees, from over 140 countries across the globe. We saw 600+ speakers take part in over 70 events, bringing together the very best entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and business leaders from every corner of the world 🙌
So, what did we get up to on our final day?
We got started with opening remarks from our Head of Creative Technology at London & Partners , Louise Conolly-Smith . Louise has spent 12+ years working with overseas companies expanding into London – featuring some huge names in games, film, adtech, immersive and musictech, and shared the stage as chair with some VERY exciting deep tech companies ✨
The key takeaway of the day on the Tech Horizons stage? The UK has an ecosystem where innovation can truly thrive 🙌
The first session of the day set the tone, as we heard from Time’s Harry Booth and Writer’s May Habib on AI at a tipping point. Going into what it takes to scale in enterprise, the fascinating conversation nailed down the importance of cross-team collaboration and breaking down silos more than ever before with AI implementation 📝
We also heard from Wikipedia’s Jimmy Wales in an insightful fireside chat with Princess Beatrice of York, on using AI as a supportive tool to humans, rather than a replacement.
Later, our Head of Enterprise Tech & Business Services, Alban Remy , led a fantastic panel on creating trustworthy and scalable brand experiences with agentic AI 🎤
Speaking with Grow London Global company Nibble , as well as Pets at Home and Accenture , Alban discussed how agentic AI starts with identifying a human problem and improving it with technology.
Talks about marketing in a changing tech landscape were big on day 3 at London Tech Week. In a talk about ‘rewriting the rules’ at the Innovation Stage, speakers discussed the growing success of founder-led and personality-driven brands, who usually scale faster than brand-led businesses due to the humanisation 🧍
Following that, a panel on ‘AI for smarter marketing decisions’ delved into how the more AI develops, the more people crave the human touch in marketing. We heard how although AI creates efficiencies, it may not be as authentic.
Over at Fortnum & Mason, our London & Partners’ China team joined CEO Laura Citron OBE and Deputy Mayor of London for Business Howard Dawber OBE , in a China welcome reception with the Department for Business and Trade 🙌
We were delighted to welcome so many Chinese companies to London Tech Week this year and look forward to further UK and China collaboration 🤝
Over to the Impact Stage, our Head of Sustainability Pru Ashby moderated a panel on scaling smart, circular & sustainable packaging ♻️
Joined by Grow London Global company Notpla, we heard all about the latest breakthroughs in biodegradable packaging, and how they’re scaling from lab innovation to full commercial adoption 📈
Wrapping up at Olympia, our evening was just getting started – with the Grow London team heading to London AI Hub with some of Europe’s most exciting AI-led companies.
The AI tech reception was all about the importance of community in London – with different players in the ecosystem getting together to make real progress and better understanding from all sides 👏
Over at The Hoxton, our Grow London Talent team kicked off their Unlocking London’s Talent networking reception, in a room filled with excitement and energy 🚀
We heard from our own Janet Coyle CBE and Head of Talent & Skills Harry Coath about the momentum of London’s tech ecosystem, in an evening full of new connections and fresh insight 👏
At Uncommon, it was time for our London - Africa Mixer, bringing together Grow London Global companies and the London Africa Network ahead of our trade missions to the continent next month 🌍
In an evening of great food and music, we mixed our London businesses with some very exciting companies operating in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa ✨
Across the city, our London & Partners delegation headed off to VivaTech 2025, as we’re off to showcase the strength, diversity and global ambition of London’s innovative tech scene.
