Record financing in 2025
In a show of their full support for the European Investment Bank Group’s activities, EU finance ministers approved raising our financing ceiling to a record €100 billion this year. The decision was made at the annual meeting of our Board of Governors on Friday 20 June and will enable us to increase spending on security and defence, energy grids and Europe’s technological leadership.
“The unanimous support of our shareholders, the 27 Member States, for our proposals to provide record financing for defence, energy security and tech leadership shows the key role of the EIB Group to support Europe’s strategic priorities,” said our president Nadia Calviño .
New military base to be built in Lithuania
As part of our commitment to bolstering Europe’s security and defence, we are more than tripling our support for the sector to 3.5% of financing in 2025. An example: in Lithuania we are financing the development of the Rūdninkai military base, for the German Bundeswehr brigade, a key project to enhance NATO operations and regional security.
Bigger, faster, simpler
Helping innovators grow, and attracting talent and investment to Europe is more crucial than ever.
That’s why we are rolling out TechEU, the largest financing programme ever dedicated to European innovation. This initiative is set to mobilise €250 billion in investments by 2027, supporting an additional 1,000 innovators and tech champions every year.
TechEU will bridge a crucial financing gap, empowering ambitious innovators so they can scale up here in the EU and become global champions. From artificial intelligence to robotics, from semiconductors to health, clean and defence tech, we are there for the whole innovation cycle.
Time for a new deal
To strengthen its strategic autonomy, Europe must cut fossil fuel dependency.
It’s time for a new deal: the EU Clean Industrial Deal.

Electricity powers our homes, our hospitals, our transport. It allows us to operate our businesses and to communicate across borders. This is why we are supporting the construction of an electricity connection between Spain and France in the Bay of Biscay. This investment will boost power to and from the Iberian peninsula, so that it is no longer an energy island.

3moCuando cambie el patrón miedo del dinero FIAT, por el patrón valor del F.M.U. me creeré que evoluciona la sociedad, mientras tanto lo que se ve, es la tergiversación de la ley para beneficio de lobbies, industrias, grandes superficies y comercios. El F.M.U. promueve una equidad económica más fiable para el conjunto de la sociedad. Hechos fehacientes que demuestran en 2023 dentro del seno del FMI, lo tremendamente vulnerable que es nuestro sistema económico actual para el conjunto de la humanidad. Además de la banda organizada instituida en organizaciones gubernamentales, en el caso de España: Caso 18 lobas Caso bar España Caso tito Berni .... Y la lista es larga, demostrando a nivel nacional una red de protección para dichas bandas organizadas, estando simuladas por los 2 partidos mayoritarios de España supuestamente, aunque dicho supuestos son un gran número de pruebas circunstanciales que hacen referencia a unas pruebas fehacientes debido a qué todas apuntan en la misma dirección.
